BIOGRAPHY: Julián González de la Lastra

Julián González de la Lastra was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1954. From 1970 to 1973 he studied graphic arts at the school of the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre – Real Casa de la Moneda (FNMT-RCM) in Madrid. 

At the end of his studies, González became an apprentice at the FNMT-RCM, where he worked himself up through the years. His first known stamp engraving dates from 1981; the 12p value from the Spanish Postal Museum set.

González remained with the FNMT-RCM until 1995. He founded his own design studio called Complot in 1998 and has been fully involved there, as Director of the Company.
