In 2014, an art book was published celebrating the works of Karl Bickel Junior. It is huge, it is printed in limited edition (the first and I presume only print run was 300 copies) and it is beautiful.
Karl Jr, like his father, was a multi-facted artist and the bulk of this book deals with his paintings and drawings. But he was also an engraver, again like his father, and there is a special chapter on this art form. Besides his private art, Karl's stamp work is also featured, though mainly by showing the stamps he created.
The text (in German) is limited to an introduction and a biography, with private photographs, so it really is an art book, but if you like magic realism, which is what his art is sometimes called, you would certainly enjoy this book!
