BIOGRAPHY: Deborah Alexander

Deborah J. Colletti Alexander was born in Mineola, NY in the USA on 29 January 1952. She studied at various schools, such as the School of Visual Arts in New York City and the Philadelphia College of Art.

In 1974, she received her BA in Fine Arts from St Lawrence University in Canton, NY. The year after Alexander became an apprentice at the ABNC, moving to the United States Bank Note Company in 1980. There, she stayed until 1989. In 1990 she got employment at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. At the BEP she was a letter and script engraver. She engraved the lettering on various stamps from 1991 to 1997.

Deborah Alexander passed away on 16 August 1999.
