INFORMATION
Frank D. Manley engraved the original die for the Australian 1947 issue for the Marriage of Princess Elizabeth. When finished it was decided to change the insciptions on the design. A subsidiary die was laid down and the new inscription was engraved by R. J. Becker.
The 1949 definitives were derived from the 5s die engraved by Manley. The denominations from the 5s transfer roller were erased and the new dies were completed by Becker.
