CIONINI, Trento

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Trento Cionini was born in Urbania, Pesaro, Italy, on 23 April 1919. He went to the Arts Academy in Urbino where he studied wood cutting, and then he went to the Academy in Rome. He worked from 1940 to 1957 for the Government Printing Works in Italy, but during that time engraved only one stamp for his native Italy. It was also his first attempt at stamp engraving. In 1957 he went to work for the Bank of Italy.
